Cheese

Cheese is the primary form of currency on the Big Sister server. However, it has undergone a couple changes throughout its lifetime.

Pre-Update[edit | edit source]

Before the July 3, 2017 Update to vanilla Minecraft, the cheese system was based around Forge Essentials. Players would be able to store cheese in their /wallet and spend it at shops that used command blocks to exchange that cheese for money. Cheese could be earned through: exchanging 8 exp levels for Cheese Blocks that were worth 32 cheese, mining lapis lazuli and making it into Blue Cheese that was worth 114 cheese, exchanging currency at towns that had special currency, or by doing something for other players. Cheese was counted as a number, and was, as mentioned earlier, spent by using command block based shops. To spend cheese, it had to be in your wallet. Cheese could be deposited or withdrawn from your wallet at any bank or Cheese ATM.

Post-Update[edit | edit source]

After the update, it was debated as to where the currency system would go. While the newly used Spigot Essentials did have a similar system to the old ways, it was decided to instead make the cheese system solely based upon physical currency. This currency would consist of Green Cheese(emerald) that were worth 8 old cheese, cheese blocks(sponge) that were worth 32 old cheese, and blue cheese(lapis block) that was worth 128 old cheese. This new currency could be exchanged at designated villagers and was intended to futre-proof the server in case of a similar situation to the July 3 update. This cheese could be earned by: mining emeralds or selling stuff to normal villagers, exchanging 8 exp levels for a cheese block, or mining lapis lazuli and making blue cheese.
